LOW COST Spay Neuter Assistance Program (SNAP) is provided by donations to the ALL VOLUNTEER Humane Society of Wilkes.

Program is income related and you must have annual earnings under 35K ($35,000) in order to be eligible to receive a voucher.

We require that you bring some type of PROOF OF INCOME when you sign up, such as a check stub, bank statement, W-2, social security letter, etc, etc. We don't keep anything, just take a quick look to determine your eligibility.

If you receive either FOOD STAMPS or MEDICAID then all you have to bring is your EBT or MEDICAID CARD and you are automatically eligible, NO other proof of income is necessary.

For annual incomes up to 15K ($15,000) your cost to spay/neuter a dog or cat: $25

For annual income between 15K and 35K your cost to spay/neuter a dog or cat: $35

You must be prepared to pay the amount due at time of sign up (cash or check only).

We then issue you a voucher which is accepted by all 3 vets in Wilkes County and 1 vet in Surry County. You then call and get an appointment for your pet and take the voucher with you to pay for the surgery.
