Five Girl Scouts will be working toward their Silver award by hosting a walk a thon for all ages in honor of SAVE (Students against Violence everywhere). Learn about violence in and around us every day and receive a pamphlet with helpful information on Bullying. All registered walkers will receive a door prize ticket along with a ticket for every activity they participate in. Activities will include but not limited to face painting, crafts, games and bottle of water and snack while supplies last. Door prizes will be given away. Event is free but donations are appreciated. All proceeds will go toward all expenses incurred while working on their Silver project. The girls have created an anti-bully video that will be distributed to all schools in the county along with posters and anonymous anti-bully boxes for schools. They will be hosting anti-bully craft workshops and passing out pamphlets in the county. Proceeds will also cover their award pins and patches. Help support these girls and support a worthy cause by coming out and walking , running or pushing a stroller. Bring a group and enjoy it with friends. A great way for families to get out and walk for a cause together. A pledge form is attached for walkers to help the scouts raise funds for their Silver project. Register at the Pavilion near the train. Kick off for the walk will be at 10am. If this event is cancelled for any reason it will be posted here. Thank you for your support
