One of the ideas I had was a "Spring Cleaning" day. Where essentially we rent a laundry mat for a day to allow homeless to do their laundry and maybe get some coffee and talk to each other. It will help a local business while helping the homeless. I've also been looking into something like this... https://www.projectw...yonwheels/
But that's a much bigger project.

Never said that just asked where the hordes of staving homeless were. Did you know we are the only nation on earth where obesity is a major health problem for poverty level people?

Where are these hordes of hungry homeless people here in Wilkes? There are a few who choose to sleep outside because they refuse to follow a few simple rules at the local shelter,

I wonder if the poverty level has anything to do with the majority republican Christian Wilkes Countians who are politically vehemently opposed to helping the poor, feeding the hungry, housing the homeless and treating the sick?

Rose reminds me of another democrat I know that is so warped it is funny. He claims to be a Christian and goes to church every Wednesday and Sunday. One day he told me he had to vote democrat and if Jesus Christ himself came back and ran as anything else he couldn't vote for him.

Thank you mhugget for sharing that link to "Wilkes Circles Of Care" I had never heard of them before but was reading the website and actually know someone on the board, I plan to speak to them to find out how I can contribute!

Hey Rosestar, I was actually contemplating apologizing to you but then I decided that would be a lie and disingenuous because I meant every word I said. You do embarrass me as a woman, as a Democrat and as an articulate person.
