Good to meet you yesterday, Metal! We've "known" each other on here for, what, 18+ years? 
I'm going to reply to @antithesis in a minute, but first I want to address the comments regarding GoWilkes vs. Facebook / Megan.
I love Megan to death, I've considered her to be a friend for a long time, and to my knowledge there's never been any animosity between us at all. We aren't competing; we both had similar goals, we just went about it in different ways. I'm sure that we had the same "in the know" people talking to us individually, too.
As far as I know, neither of us gained anything from this; she obviously makes no money from Facebook, and I actually lost a few advertisers (and you can be sure that there are now at least a few businesses that will never, ever advertise with us).
I can't speak for Megan, but I seriously doubt that either of us have given one second of thought to which of us posted something first.

Both may have done all their own investigating but it was on here first. The FB person even posted screenshots from here on their personal page before they ever started talking about it or created their page. Either way I'm just glad to see him gone. I hope the Republican party picks a better replacement.
