Why did Jesus come to the Jews FIRST?

"If you keep the commandments that Jesus quotes. You would keep the other four." Your words posted on 9/26/2022 @ 9:46am. You know that Jesus did not teach the "Ten Commandments" He only taught six of them. If He had taught all ten, you would have posted that verse or passage long before this.

I do not know what you were trying to accomplish by mashing two different chapters of Revelations together. But it hardly matters. Even your attempt to make this mishmash fit your failing religious beliefs falls flat. In Revelation 21:8 there is a list of sins, sure, but notice, they aren't the same ones prohibited by the "ten commandments." Then you skip to Revelations 22:14 with the "His commandments" quote. "His commandments" refers to the commandments of Jesus. Since Jesus never commanded us to "Keep the Ten Commandments" your premise is false.

Bitter one thing for certain. No sinner will walk with Jesus. Every Christian is SINNING against God. You lie when you say Jesus didn't teach the Commandments of God. You made your choice. I made mine. I'll continue walking in FAITH in the Way as Jesus taught because Jesus is my Salvation and HAS my name in the book of Life.

And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.

7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and wh*remongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand.

11 He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.

12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to GIVE EVERY MAN ACCORDING AS HIS WORK shall be.

13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.

14 Blessed are they that DO HIS COMMANDMENTS, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

..
Sin is the transgression of the law of God.

No need to go any farther with you. I will not be replying any longer in this Post.

M, thank you for your concern about my immortal soul, but rest assured, it is not in any danger. Just as Jesus promised, the Holy Spirit guides me to the truth (John 16:13) and the Holy Spirit tells me what is sinful, what is righteous and what will be judged (John 16:8.)

If you say I am a mockery then I must be doing something right. I haven't posted that Jesus said "Keep the Ten Commandments" because He did not say that. I haven't posted that "Jesus wasn't a Jew" when the Bible says He was a Jew. I haven't said that we are under the old covenant when Jesus said His blood was the new covenant (Matthew 26:28.) I haven't slandered you for saying to try to keep the 'Ten Commandments' though, if I read my Bible correctly, following the "Ten Commandments" is not going to get a person into Heaven. (Matthew 19; Mark 10; Luke 18.)

I do not have to change the words of Jesus to justify my faith in him. I've lost count of how many times you have been caught doing that very thing. I knew that Paul's metaphor of grafting the Olive Tree was in Romans and not Hebrews. Pointing out your errors is not ignorance--instead it is child's play and an moral imperative.

You can slander Christians all you want but when you claim that you are following "Jesus's Words" you prove, by your own posts and words, that you are a liar. Jesus said that we are blessed when people ridicule us and say bad things about us because of Him (Mathew 5:11.)

Jesus never said "Keep the Ten Commandments" and God did not include Gentiles in His covenant with the Israelites. Neither of those ideas is found in the entire Bible.

When you REPENT and you don't keep the FAITH of Jesus in your heart to protect you, this is what happens..

Matthew 12:43-45
King James Version

43 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none.

44 Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished.

45 Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.

Bitter Do you or have you REPENTED for sinning?? If so why do you return to sin? You make a mockery out of Jesus

Bitter How ignorant can you be? Read what Jesus SAID..

Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?

18 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God.

19 THOU KNOWEST THE COMMANDMENTS

Do not commit adultery,
Do not kill,
Do not steal,
Do not bear false witness,
Defraud not,
Honour thy father and mother

If I keep those Commandment I accept that God is in Control . I will keep those Commandments because that is what it is expected. I will rest in the day that God created to Rest. I will not allow man to change the day just because man says to and surely will not separate part of the Commandments from the OTHERS. Seems I've heard don't be a hearer Only be a Doer of The word

2 I am the Lord thy God

3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.

5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;

6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of THEM THAT LOVE ME, and KEEP MY COMMANDMENTS.

7 Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.

9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:

10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:

11 For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

M, I am worried about you. You seem to have missed this morning's dose of whatever it is you take to keep the world level.

Since Jesus "fulfilled" the old covenant it hasn't applied to anyone. Not the Israelites, not the Gentiles, not to me and not to you. If one believes that an Idraelite can now "opt in" on the old covenant he must believe Christ to be a liar. Jesus told us that no one ca n come to the Father except through Him (John 14:6.)

Thanks for the encouragement about reading more of Hebrews. I certainly plan to do just that in the near future. However, if memory serves, Paul's metaphor about the Olive Tree and Gentiles being grafted into the tree is found in Roman's. I think it is Chapter 11 (you can look that up and tell me whether I am right.)

You know the funny thing about grafting is that the fruit that comes from grafted trees is always a hybrid--something new and distinct from both the host root system and the grafted limbs. Instead of there being Israelites and Gentiles we can all he Christians.

Bitter does you mean Gods Commandments was taken away from the Israelites? You should have read the whole book. God's WORD stands today as it did yesterday and will stand tomorrow. We are to be grafted into the the promise that God gave to the Israelites. When Jesus said you know the commandments he gave a command for all the commandments. As he said BEFORE we are to live by them.

M you asked "Bitter how many times did Jesus tell people to go and sin no more?" last night at 9:38pm and I was busy with other things in life and haven't had the chance to answer you. I don't want to leave you wondering, so the answer is two (2). One we find recorded in John 5 and the other we find in John 8.

You then made the statement "If Jesus made the commandments obsolete he would never had said go and sin no More" which is ic. It is also a misrepresentation. I didn't say that Jesus made the commandments obsolete, I said that the writer of Hebrews said that the Lord made the old covenant obsolete (Hebrews 8.)

Jesus gave plenty of examples of sinful behaviors. Matthew 15:19 lists slander and false testimony among them (not to point any fingers at you, M, but I'm almost certain you feel pretty guilty about those two.) In Mark 10, Jesus gave us six commandments to keep (I think you are familiar with them since you referenced them on 9/26/2022 at 9:48am.) There was a new commandment that Jesus gave us to follow in John 13:34 as well. I could go on, but I think you get the point.

Anything else I can clear up for you?

How ? God said if you obey my Voice I will be your God and you will be my people. No more works by hand such as circumcision and sacrifices but by Faith in Jesus.

MHJ, please feel free to copy and paste that quote from any Bible you choose. I believe you to be a liar and do not think it is in there as you say.

From the time of Jesus the kingdom of God is preached. How do you enter in? By becoming a child of God. How ? God said if you obey my Voice I will be your God and you will be my people. No more works by hand such as circumcision and sacrifices but by Faith in Jesus.

Bitter how many times did Jesus tell people to go and sin no more? If Jesus made the commandments obsolete he would never had said go and sin no More. God made the Covenant with the Israelites and Jesus opens up the Covenant to you.

Jeremiah 31:
33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the Lord, I WILL PUT MY LAW IN THEIR INWARD PARTS, and WRITE IT IN THEIR HEARTS; and WILL BE THEIR GOD, and THEY SHALL BE MY PEOPLE.

34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the Lord: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

35 Thus saith the Lord, which giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divideth the sea when the waves thereof roar; The Lord of hosts is his name:

36 If those ordinances depart from before me, saith the Lord, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me for ever.

37 Thus saith the Lord; If heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, I will also cast off all the seed of Israel for all that they have done, saith the Lord

God's covenant that included the first ten commandments (and the next 600 or so) was with the Israelites. It was fulfilled by Christ's life, death and resurrection.

Through Christ God has offered a new covenant in which faith replaces works just as was prophecied by Jeremiah 31:31-34.

The writer of Hebrews (under the divine inspiration of the Holy Spirit) wrote in chapter 8, verse 1e that the Lord made the old covenant obsolete when He made the new covenant. Jesus Himself told us that His blood was the new covenant (Luke 22:20).

Even you, M, admit that Jesus never told us to keep the Ten Commandments. Why don't you trust his words?

Why did Jesus come to

---

Satan didn't like the words Jesus taught either..

Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.

Why did Jesus come to the jews first? Because he hated mikey above all things, even satan. Yet here mikey is claiming to know God. Beware FALSE PROPHETS! When they come before GOD they will be told, "go from me. I never knew you."

Beware mikey, BEWARE.

Why can't you keep them. Because you love sin more than God

And God spake all these words, saying,

2 I am the Lord thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.

5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;

12 Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.

13 Thou shalt not kill.

14 Thou shalt not commit adultery.

15 Thou shalt not steal.

16 Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.

17 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ***, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's.
